About

The F.J. Reitz High School Journalism Department has enjoyed a long run of journalism success. Starting 86 years ago with the first Reflections yearbook, Reitz students have enjoyed the coverage of their student body in words and pictures.

The Journalism Department is dedicated to a two-fold mission. First is the training of those students interested in the career field of journalism. Whether they are interested in graphic design, photography or reporting, the students that the journalism courses receive valuable, real-world training that gives them their first taste of this exciting field.

Secondly, students have the mission to keep their fellow students informed and entertained. Following current trends in design, the staff members of The Mirror and Reflections aim to deliver a message that is accurate, complete and timely in a manner that is eye-catching and exciting. Few newspapers or yearbooks in the southern Indiana region can claim to do both.
