You need music to start anything off right, correct? Well, not just any music, but good music. You listen to music in the car, in your room and getting ready to go out. How many times do you hear awful music or the same song so much it just sounds like nails on a chalkboard?

Well, suffer no more. MGMT will be releasing a new album on April 13,2010. It’s entitled ‘Congratulations’. If you’re sick of hearing the same mumbo-jumbo every time you turn on a radio then you should definitely grab up this album. I have to say, MGMT never ceases to catch my ear, I could listen to them all day. They have a song for every mood. This is just their second album and it could even be bigger than the first.

the duo known as MGMT

I thought there was no way they could top themselves but they have. I want to say I was surprised when I first listened to ‘Congratulations’, but it didn’t shock me that they could put together such good music, because they’ve done it once before. I feel like they have a knack for making music that everyone will enjoy, whether it be your “style” or not.
My opinion being that they went all out and topped off a first wonderful album with a second even better album should definitely persuade you to go out and pick this CD up. It’ll do you some good and I can assure you that you will not be disappointed.

Dr. Dog

Last but certainly not least, Dr. Dog is releasing a new CD on April 6, 2010. The album is titled ‘Shame, Shame’. It’s not exactly their first album, however it is their first album to be created outside of their comfortable home studio. So it could end up being a little different than their past albums, but I haven’t heard anything from Dr. Dog that isn’t a bit…different.

I haven’t gotten the privilege of listening to the full album, yet. I have heard a number of songs off of the CD, though. And I am impressed, they seem to put their all into every song they release and you don’t see that too often, these days.

In many ways I think MGMT and Dr. Dog are two of similar qualities. They’re both very abstract and each song keeps you intrigued enough to keep waiting for a new album. All I can honestly say about Dr. Dog’s new album is that I saved a portion of my pay check just to be able to pick this up on the sixth. I am definitely anticipating hearing more from them. I think you should definitely invest in this album. You will be as impressed and satisfied with this album as I am.
