Strange lyrics give new CD some flare

gaga has taken the radio airwaves by storm this year

She’s the blonde with the eccentric wardrobe, the too-long of lashes and an attraction to the paparazzi. She’s the blonde that has popularity like that of Britney Spears when she was much more famous- and dance moves to match. She’s the blonde that you love to hate. She’s Lady Gaga.

Despite the bizarre style and many getting sick and tired of her being on television and magazines too much, at least there’s one good thing Lady Gaga can be accredited for- her music.

Gaga’s latest album, The Fame Monster, is similar, if not better, than her first album, The Fame. [The Fame Monster is actually an extension of The Fame, but Lady Gaga thought it would be too expensive to remake The Fame cd with more tracks on it.] It has the same hypnotic beats portrayed in this album, just like her first production, that are still captivating fans and putting them into a trance.

Gaga is known for her upbeat dance music, in which she intertwines fast-paced tempos with lyrics that make you feel like anything, and I mean that quite literally, can happen.

“Bad Romance”, which has been playing quite frequently on several radio stations, starts off with the same feel from one of her previous songs, “Poker Face”. The lyrics are about, well, a bad romance. She wants to be with someone, despite the fact they seem to be completely wrong for her.

From there it gets rather odd. The musical parts of the songs remain the same, giving off the “dance as if there’s no one watching” vibe, but the lyrics get progressively stranger and stranger.

In “Alejandro”, it begins as a sad love song with an upbeat tempo, explaining how Gaga has to leave Alejandro because she feels that it won’t work out anymore. It then turns into a confusing song, where she calls Alejandro by his name and then later begins calling him Fernando and Roberto, as well as a boyfriend that’s also her father.

I would recommend to not really pay attention to most of the lyrics, because, as a whole, they do not make sense. Bits and pieces match together, like the inability to talk on the phone while at a club in “Telephone”, while others, such as “Alejandro”, just don’t flow as well.

That seems to be Gaga’s artistic style, though. Yes, they may not make sense as a whole, but listen to a couple of lines, and they’re all thoughts that could pass through your head.]
From what you will hear and understand on the album, the main gist will be about sex, drugs, alcohol, or a combination of the three.

Although Gaga’s lyrics are a little disorienting, the major flaw lies within the fact that there are only eight tracks on the album, compared to a typical eleven on a normal CD. By having only eight songs, she has surely created a monster from her fans, who are music and crazy-wardrobe thirsty for her.
