Boys tennis is paving its way to success

So far this year, the boys tennis team have been working diligently to achieve their goals.
“Our season has been very powerful, strenuous, and prolific,” said junior Konner Scherry.
The strong words Scherry chose to describe their team also shows the attributes toward their new coach, Josh Mason, who has led them to a better record.

Mason has been integrating parts of conditioning and simulations as early as six a.m. this season to endure hardships so the boys can play their best. Each match shows how hard the boys have been working this year to win.

“Coach Mason makes us work extra hard at our 6 a.m. conditioning but it really shows,” said Scherry.
“This year we have been integrating parts of conditioning and simulations,” said Coach Mason. “This season we are conditioning at 6 a.m.”
Sweltering days at Barker Avenue during the summer has helped fuel the team to endure hardships and play their best regardless of the heat.
“I like to have fun at my practices to lighten the mood up for the team members,” said Mason.
