Students from Reitz show off their artistic talent
The 45th Annual High School Art Show was held this year at the Evansville Museum. Students from high schools all over Evansville, along with Castle, Princeton, Tecumseh, Mount Vernon, North Posey, and Wood Memorial entered their work in the show. Although it is not an easy show to make, a few of our very own Reitz students made it in and brought back some awards. Three lucky students were awarded the Myron and Janis Craig Merit Award of fifty dollars. Joe Price and Drake Fisher won for their self-portraits, and Andrea Niemeier won for her mixed media sculpture. Corey Greenfield got third place for Best of Mixed Media and a prize of fifty dollars for his Acrylic and Magazine Collage. Congrats to all our winners and all the other artists that made it into the show. If you’re into art and would like to check out the exhibits, you still have time. The art work will be on display until April 27 at the Evansville Museum downtown.
